12-Day Coast-to-coast Guantanamo County to Pinar Del Rio
A very extensive program that will go almost coast to coast.
We will fly into Habana the first night and fly out the next morning to Baracoa in Guantanamo County where we will spend two nights. We will tour the area, visit with special artists and meet some great restaurant owners for a cornucopia of different foods.
We then head to Santiago for two more nights and visit the Gran Piedra , Morro, possibly the Guantanamo Bay, a coppelia, a rum factory and more.
Then we are off to Camaguey for one night and Trinidad for one night. While in Trinidad, we visit some very old and unique places as well as an old Sugar Mill,
We then head to Habana for four nights. We meet with several key people and have meaningful interactions to learn more about Cuba and discuss the many differences and ideas between our two countries. In Habana we tour both old and modern areas. We visit the Culinary School, an organic garden, a special youth hospitality program along with many of the best Paladares (privately owned Restaurants) in Cuba. We will visit an UNESCO site near Pinar Del Rio with an old coffee plantation, a farmer’s home for an amazing pig roast lunch and a community that is unique and beautiful with its waterfalls and special settings. Depending on the group and dates, this program could see Finca Vigia, Earnest Hemingway’s Cuba house. We also visit a very unique place where you can see all of Habana at one time. We include 27 meals.
